Title A name given to the resource Saving the Future in Europe Subject The topic of the resource Unitarian Service Committee, Relief work Description An account of the resource This is the cover of a publicity pamphlet, most likely distributed to USC donors. The pamphlet entered the Harvard University Library collection on October 31st, 1942. The ~50 page document illustrated the work of the USC's medical clinic in Marseilles up until early 1942, and is filled with pictures of patients being taken care of, used to indicate both the need for relief work and the "satisfactory" progress that the committee was making. The Polish team was organized by Noel H. Field, a communist sympathizer / spy and American citizen, who in 1942 was leading the clinic in France. It was he who brought together Dr. Bruk, Opalski, Tonia Lechtman, and Dorothea Jones in 1944 to begin the Polish medical mission in France, working in Polish DP camps.
