The center of immediate protests

Title

The center of immediate protests

Subject

Protest activity distribution

Description

The center of the immediate protest after the shooting was located on West Florissant Avenue, a major artery that runs through the Suburb, at the intersection with the road where Michael Brown was shot. The many stores along the road were the target of several looting and burning incidences, and the entire avenue served as the site of the protest. More than a bounded area like a park or plaza, the entire street served as the concentrated site of the protest, with marches central to the activities. The center has since moved to St.Louis, showing the increased prominence of the movement.
